Inhale… exhale… calm yourself down a bit, because the next three minutes will be filled with sexy and colourful make up! YSL’s spring collection is daring and beautiful and makes you want to do redo your make up right away. Well… at least, that’s what we did!
Get ready for YSL’s Spring Look «The Street and I», which introduces lots of limited edition products and most of all LOTS OF COLOUR!
I told you it’s going to be colourful! The «The Street and I» look is not for the faint hearted, but it’s still surprisingly wearable!
Let me introduce you to my favourite products of the collection:
Couture Palette Collector The Street and I, around 100 US$
Rouge Volupté Shine in No. 57 Rouge Spencer, around 50 US$
Face Palette Collector The Street and I, around 70 US$
Baby Doll Kiss & Blush Duo Stick (in 4 Nuancen, hier in From Me to You), around 45 US$
Pretty intense colour scheme, right?
Sandra, The World’s Best Intern™ at Hey Pretty, was blown away by the collection – especially the eye shadow palette – and wanted to change up my look immedately. And hey, I surely didn’t want to stop a professional make up artist to do my make up!
Sandra used all the colours in the Couture Palette Collector The Street and I (including the bright orange one), the Rouge Volupté Shine in Rouge Spencer (a nice glossy, berry red) and the Face Palette Collector The Street and I (a vibrant corally orange blush).
Fifty minutes, two coffees, zero filters and lots of laughs later:
It’s kinda like a sunset on your eyelid, don’t you think?
Seriously, I didn’t think that I would like these warm colours, but that’s what I like about make up: It’s so easy to try new things! I really liked the whole look, it’s a welcome change from my usual taupe eye make up.
I would have loved to put the new Baby Doll Kiss & Blus Duo Stick to the test, but I couldn’t manage to get it in time for this post. The two sides stick, which can be used for lips and cheeks sure is an interesting concept. I’ll keep you posted!
The «The Street and I» collection also carries three new Dessin du Regard Khol Liners, three nail polishes (in addition to Blanc Arty theres also a vibrant orange called Vandal Orange and Asphalt Grey), as well as two new Gloss Volupté colours, which you can discover at your local YSL counter.
All in all a really cool collection, which offers surprising colour combinations and interesting new textures. It’s a lot of fun for all make up junkies (such as me and Sandra…) and also an inspiration to get out of your comfort zone and try something new.
Thank you Sandra for the pretty look. This calls for some Prosecco (can’t wait for dry January to end…)!
The YSL Spring Look 2017 «The Street and I» is now available as a limited edition collection at all YSL salespoint.
