You have been warned: You’re going to miss your bus stop if you keep on scrolling. Because today, we’re having an in-depth look at Victoria Beckham’s newest make-up collection.
Ever since they announced the continuation of Victoria Beckham’s collaboration with Estée Lauder for Fall 2017, I was super excited to see the new limited edition products. And they don’t disappoint!
Not only did Victoria Beckham create ten new products for and with Estée Lauder, she also made five tutorial videos, which are way more fun to watch than, let’s say, do laundry or checking things off your to-do list, ahem…
Aside from «Red Carpet Ready Eyes», there are other videos such as: Victoria Beckham’s Eye Opener, Victoria’s Take on Pink and Victoria’s Formula for Perfect Skin. While Vicky gets her looks on, we’re ready to dive into her products, am I right?
The Victoria Beckham X Estée Lauder Collection launched on October 2nd 2017, and is available at selected counters worldwide, as well as on her website.
The main theme is natural, glowy skin and accentuated eyes.
«My experience in front of the camera has taught me how the right light can create the perfect skin tone and texture, and give definition to bone structure. These signature products recreate that same effect for you. They are the starting point for every one of my City Looks and are all you need for fresh, glowing skin and beautifully defined features.»
I was lucky enough to get a variety of products to try out. So let’s start unpacking!
It’s showtime for ten new products by Vicky!
Skin Perfecting Powder, USD 85.00
This powder accompanies the collection’s signature piece – the Morning Aura Illuminating Creme (see below!) – and is not only super soft and light, but also blurring and skin perfecting.
Want some shimmer? Here you go:
Aura Gloss in Honey, USD 45.00
This easy to use highlighter instantly gives some glam to your cheeckbones, lips or bridge of the nose.
Cheek Crème in Blonde Mink, USD 60.00
I have to admit I was a bit surprised at how dark this blush was. But no worries: this brownish red looks surprisingly natural on your cheeks and can also be used on the lips.
Eye Ink Matte Eyeliner in Blackest, USD 45.00
and Smudgy Matte Eyeliner in Graphite, USD 45.00
Victoria loves herself some deep black eyeliner!
The Eye Ink Matte Eyeliner is easy to apply and therefore suitable for liner noobs. The Smudy Matte Eyeliner on the other hand is your best mate for a smoky, sexy look.
Eye Ink Mascara in Blackest, USD 45.00
Oh, how I love this small brush! It’s very precise and a good companion for this very black mascara. The formula gives volume, lift and length… can be used on lash extensions and is supposed to last for over 15 hours… I’ll let you know!
Eye Palette, USD 75.00
These four eye shadows contain pearl pigments, which reflect the light beautifully! The formula is a hybrid between gel and cream and can be applied wet or dry… perfect for a typical Beckham smoky eye.
Eye Matte Duo in Bleu Electrique, Saphir/Orange and Nude, Noir/Vanille, USD 60.00 each
Highly pigmented, super matte eye shadows, for a bold look. Victoria also likes to use them underneath the shiny Eye Foils.
Eye Metals Shadow in Blonde Gold and Bitter Clove, USD 45.00 each
Yay, the super sparkly eyeshadows are back! This is the new and very beautiful shade Blonde Gold.
Matte Lipstick in Victoria, Burnished Rose and Black Cassis, USD 50.00 each
What can I say? Matte, creamy and pigmented colours… I especially like this deep dark red called Black Cassis.
Lip Gloss in Fired Crystal and Desert Heat, USD 36.00 each
Those of you who are more into shine will love this silver holo-rainbow sparkle in a gloss tube!
These were all of the NEW products. Estée Lauder has also re-released some of the bestselling Victoria Beckham products from the 2016 collection, because they’re essential for the Beckham look.
Let’s celebrate the return of:
Eye Foil in Burnt Anise and Blonde Gold, USD 40.00 each
Here’s the silver Blonde Gold close up, because it’s THAT metallic:
Eye Kajal Duo in Java/Vanille (NEW), Saphir/Vanille (NEW) and Black Saffron/Vanille, USD 38 each
…isn’t Java/Vanille gorgeous?…
Highlighter in Modern Mercury, USD 75.00
Lip Pencil Victoria, USD 34.00
This beautiful glowy cream also made a comeback:
Morning Aura Illuminating Crème, USD 95.00
The matte, wearable bronzer:
Bronzer in Saffron Sun (NEW) and Java Sun, USD 65.00
as well as this single eyeshadow in deep black:
Eye Ink in Black Myrrh, USD 50.00
I know… but you can’t say I haven’t warned you! I hope you haven’t crossed the borders yet by train or bus… but we haven’t finished yet!
Just like with her first collection, Victoria Beckham has some very specific ideas about how her products should look on the face. And I know this post is already way too long, but you have to look at these finished looks!
This is her London Look:
Mrs. Beckham’s L.A. Look:
…and the very clean Signature Look:
…which is made with these products:
ALRIGHT, now you may get off the bus/get up/answer the phone.
I’m very sorry for the crazy amount of pictures, but the products are just too pretty not to show. In terms of product quality, I’m once again impressed with the intense pigments, and especially love the weighty, luxurious and beautiful packaging.
I’m glad that Victoria and Estée Lauder are continuing their collaboration… I really like the new extended range!
Okay, and now you’re finally free to start your day. Tell your boss I’m sorry!
The second Victoria Beckham X Estée Lauder Makeup Collection is available at selected counters from October 2017.
